Focus and Scope

Ocnos. Journal of reading research is a biannual scientific journal. This main objective is show studies and investigations about reading and writing from different approaches (social, literary, psychological, anthropological, and historic), and about educative process, reading promotions and reading habits. Ocnos is aimed specially at teachers, psychologists, sociologists, social educators, philologists, librarians and phd students.

 

Peer Review Process

Articles sent to Ocnos will pass a peer review exam. This journal employs double blind reviewing, where both the referee and author remain anonymous throughout the process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two referees for the academic content and presentation of submitted articles.

 

Publication Frequency

Ocnos is published twice a year. Issues appear in January and July.

 

Open Access Policy

Ocnos is an Open Access Review, it means it is free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.

 

Journal History

Ocnos. Journal of reading research is published since 2005 by CEPLI (Research Centre for Reading Promotion and Children's Literature) of the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
