The assessment of children’s and youth’s books. An investigation about the FUNDALECTURA experience

Abstract
The article presents the research is carrying out in the Fundacion para el Fomento de la Lectura (Bogota. Colombia) around the operation of their Assessment Committees, which assess literary and informative books for children and youngsters. In the first part, the operation of these committees and the criteria to classify the books are described. In the second one, the methodology used to collect the information necessary to the research is described too. Finally, the purpose of this research is presented.
