Traditional child repertoire from Cádiz: text, rite, gesture and symbol
Main Article Content
Abstract
The repertoire of oral literary tradition for children collected in the province of Cadiz during the last twenty years gathers a complex corpus of nursery rhymes and songs. This article intends, on the one hand, to propose a clasification of this repertoire concerning the poetic structure of these texts, and, on the other hand, to find out the rituals, motifs and symbols which belonged to the adult folklore and which, attending to the zero degree of traditional transmission, have been absorbed by children folklore.
