Main Article Content
Abstract
The present study is a contrastive analysis of two translations into Spanish and Catalan of a children’s book in English. A multidisciplinary approach adopted to analyse both preliminary norms (external agents to the text), and operational norms (about the text). The study reveals deviations from the original which may help to build the characters’ identify differently in the three books. Furthermore, it is foreseen that the perception of the story will be also different in the three languages.
