Abstract

This article aims to portray the Baroque world of children from Hispanic romances. Romance, due to his popular character, usually contains information about local customs and traditions in which it is created and transmitted. Information about the children’s daily life in the Baroque period will be extracted by surveying our main romance collections. Our analysis focuses on education news, games and nursery rhymes that are documented in the romance texts, convinced that they compose a broad enough portrait of quotidianity of the baroque child.
