Reading gender: Mariasun Landa

Abstract

This paper discusses the results of a study concerning Mariasun Landa’s work -held at the Teacher Training School of Vitoria-Gasteiz- in order to detect the presence of gender in the work of the Basque author through the readings done by students of the course "Teaching Language and Literature" and by expert teachers in this author. Our research seeks to determine to what extent the presence of the author and her female imaginary, is subsumed in the readings made by the students surveyed.
