Reading and interculturality. A case study about a Chinese literary reception in the Spanish context

Abstract
The literary reception of Wang Anyi novel, The Song of Everlasting Sorrow, by Spanish readers in the current globalization era, in which the mediation of criticism is less relevant due to the direct access to the works, invites the use of Social Sciences’ qualitative methodologies to analyze it. From the information get by means of the technique of discussion groups, the article analyzes the discourse produced by the readers with categories of aesthetic reception, and of literary interpretation, as well as other theoretical approaches focused in the contact between cultures. The result proves the relevance of a multidisciplinary approach to the understanding of the intercultural phenomena.
