Considerations about Reading and Intercultural Dimension: Spanish Language Programmes in Higher Education in Portugal
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper aims to address two hitherto unresearched issues: a) first, which policy documents regulate Spanish as a Second Language teaching in Higher Education in Portugal and, second, b) which theoretical-practical perspectives do they offer regarding reading and interculturality. After having described Spanish language studies in their academic context in Portugal and having presented some bibliographical research allowing us to reflect on these two concepts from the perspective of the policy documents, we will carry out a qualitative analysis of the data. Therefore, with this research, we hope to shed more light on Spanish as a second language teaching in higher education in Portugal.
